Photoshop comes with a lot of options to work with images, it allows you to create special effects, and the advanced version gives you opportunity to adjust many individual pictures to make complex image, and you can change colors and edit them as desired background. Although mainly used for retouching and operations with photographs, it can be used to create image from the scratch or to change an existing image. Photoshop is a very powerful program for editing with amazing settings. Thats why it is very difficult to study it thoroughly in a short time. So here you will be able to find basic descriptions of work in photoshop with basic tools, and examples which explains some of the more advanced tools. You should also know that we often use several different tools in order to create the desired effects, and many of these tools, in order to be successfully used, require exercise and the use of imagination.

The main menu bar
Main Menu contains many commands Photoshop. It is located on the top of the window, and it works like a menu that we encounter in most Windows programs.

Document window
All open documents appear in the document window that can be moved by keeping pressed the left mouse button on the title bar of an open window and "drag" it in the desired direction.

Toolbox
Toolbox is usually located on the left side of the screen and contains a number of tools that can assist in the arrangement of graphic materials. When one of the tools is currently selected, it looks like a pressed button (Button). The desired tool can be selected by clicking the left mouse button or by using keyboard shortcuts. If you're not sure what tool the icon represents, it is necessary to install the mouse pointer over it and "pop up bubble" will appear (Tool Tip) with the name of the tool and its shortcut. Here are some basic tools and an explanation how they can be used.

Selecting tools

At the top of the toolbox is a group of tools for selecting - selection of the entire image or part of an image. There are three subspecies tools for selection:
• Rectangular Marquee Tool (M)
• Lasso Tool (L)
• Magic Wand Tool (W)
Rectangular Marquee Tool
it would be square / rectangle or circle / ellipse.
Tools Single Row and Single column, marks all the pixels in a column or row.
Lasso Tool - more or less follows the mouse movement during the selection.
Polygonal Lasso Tool is a tool that creates a straight line between points (Control points) and doing some kind of random selection.
Third tool from the group, Magnetic Lasso Tool, is semi automatic selection. It follows the move of the mouse.
With the magic wand (Magic Wand Tool), you can make automatic selection of approximate color. After clicking on an area around the center of the selection that contains pixels in the colors of the rank of the average values.
Also, here we have the Move tool (V). As you make a selection, use the tool Move to move the selected part.

Painting tools

In the group of tools for painting are Brush (Brush), pencil (Pencil) and print (Stamp).
Brush Tool (B)
In this group we find Brush and Pencil Tool. This is the one of the simplest of tools. In the top menu for both tools you can choose the type, size, opacity, and flow. Opacity is reffered for the percentage of visibility, while the flow referes the amount of the paint application.
Healing Brush Tool (J)
This tool we use for copying a specific portion of the image. Preferences of this tool is that you can watch both th original image and cloned part adapts. So you can take care of colors and light on the original image.
Clone Stamp Tool (S)
Cloning tool similar to the Healing Brush Tool. The big difference between these two tools is
that with the Clone Stamp tool you cannot adapt the original image, you can only copy content from
the desired source.
Pattern Stamp Tool,
This tool works as a Clone Stamp tool, except that instead of image sorce, this tool takes the pattern (texture) and apply it to the default area.

Display tools

There are two tools: Hand tool and Zoom tool.
Hand tool (H)
If we have the enormous size of the document, or we're on a 1200% increased window, moving the position could create problems. Thankfully, there are three ways to move safely.
The first way is to move the red window (which means the active area of the document) in the
Navigator Window. Another way is moving using the arrows (left, right, down, up). The third way, which is the easiest, move using the help of hand tool. This helps you to handle the document in the way you want.
Zoom (Z)
Zoom Tool, allows you to zoom in or zoom out.

Text and shape tools

Horizontal Type Tool (T)
Text Tool (or officially Horizontal Tyle Tool) is a tool that is used in 95% of cases. Clicking on a document creates a new text field, click + drag creates the text box. At this point PS switches to text mode.
Rectangle Tool (U)
This group of tools includes 6 rectangle (square), Rounded Rectangle (rounded square), oval (ellipse), Polygon (polygon, ie, n-angle), Line (line) and the Custom Shape (different forms ) Tool. With these tools we draw the forms, which can be later upgraded, change size, rotate.
